There are lots of accounts of the band’s history, both written and filmed. Assembled in London during the economic and social upheaval of the 1970s, the band didn’t invent Punk music, but they were at the right place at the right time to briefly become its biggest spectacle and make a brief but lasting impression on other musicians and music fans. In only a few years, we’ll mark the 50th anniversary of the rise and fall of that Punk-est of Punk bands, The Sex Pistols.
